Indiana Friends!

Our wk-end away...
There are 5 of us ladies that met on an Ebay group years ago. One year Nita invited the bunch to her house and we all got along so well. After that we started to go somewhere for a girls wk-end away. We all have the same kind of humor, like alot of the same things and Love to take funny blackmail pictures of each other! HA! All in good fun!! I put new '09' pictures on the left side... There are 2 more friends on our Ebay group their pictures are on the right side, all us girls adopted Nate as our son and Sandra is our Texan chick!!

This year we met up on the south side of Kokomo, not to much to do in Kokomo but we had a great time catching up. Patti decided to pick Sweet as the 09 Queen, she does so much for others. And our Queenie was super surprised! She got all sorts of gifts to open. We snickered, snorted, cackled, and laughed our butts off.. A real 'gas' of a time!!(the girls will understand) hahahahaha

I will recommend a couple places to eat; McAlisters is a great place for soups & salads place, everything is Yummy, but I would stear clear of the White Chicken Chili.. huh girls?! Grinder Charlies is great too, I had the Jack Daniels sauce short stack of ribs, baked potato & cottage cheese, very very good, the ribs were so tender they could be eaten with a fork.

Had a wonderful wonderful time and can't wait till next year!

Three tired Girls....

Where do I start..... we all have so much going on these 2 months it comes to the place where we all would like to 'fast forward' the "life remote"!!!

Last week I needed to get some stuff done here at home because I knew there was at least 2 maybe 3 days of canning this week. Monday there were 7 of us ladies that got together at my nieces place and did apples from Pam & Debra's trees. We put them all into apple pie filling, we ended up with a total of 269 quarts. Wow, we kept those peeler/corers humming and those apples kept piling up, a little like Jesus & the loaves & fishes!!:) I never dreamed we would end up getting that many. It is very good too!! It can be used in so many different ways, pies, applecrisp, roll-ups, half moon pies, fry pies, etc..

Tuesday, we were still tired from Monday and had shifted down to a lower gear,haha, we just got my sister Ada's applesauce done, by today we had shifted down another gear and Pam's kids were sick and Pam wasn't feeling great herself but we still got 3 batches of Spaghetti soup canned. Everybody is done canning now. Yeah, we're all dragging butt, that would be the reason for that gully behind us! hahaha

Tomorrow & Friday, I need to get the laundry & cleaning done, my truck cleaned up and get my ingred for next wks candy making days.

The highlight of the week is I'm going south to meet my Indy friends for the wk-end, I'm kinda disappointed because the Raceway Banquet is this wk-end too and I have to miss it, But I wouldn't want to miss seeing my buddies for anything! I'll drive my buggy south & Ken can go to the banquet. HA! He has to deliver DVDs anyway.
